Eric Tham

Decades of elite banking expertise across OCBC and UOB; during his 16-year senior tenure at UOB as Managing Director of Group Commercial Banking and Group Credit, he spearheaded the regional expansion of SME banking across Southeast Asia, China, Hong Kong and Myanmar. He co-founded InnoVen Capital, the UOB–Temasek venture debt platform supporting high-growth startups across Asia, and in 2025 was appointed Non-Executive Independent Director of Raffles Health Insurance.

He previously served as Technical Director at Newtec Vascular Products (UK), led up to SGD 12.5M in A*STAR research grants as principal investigator, and owns multiple international patents in medical prosthetics and biomaterials. His track record includes 69 journal papers, 5 books and strong citation metrics, as well as the NTU Teacher of the Year Award and Singapore's Long Service Medal.

He has held key executive roles — including SVP of International Sales & Marketing, Co-Chief Product Officer, Chief Quality Officer (CQO), and CEO of Hong Kong R&D operations — at leading technology firms such as Dogain Optoelectronics, Sanan IC, Archcom Tech (US), SAE Magnetics (TDK), and IBM.
